More About Me

A little more about me, how I grew up, my professional experience and dreams!

I grew up in Willie Nelson’s home town, Abbott, Texas. A very small town with a couple of churches, a few old stores, a 1A school, a bbq joint and about 350 people that were mostly farmers, teachers, and their children. I enjoyed this rich upbringing surrounded by community, attending the same school from kindergarten to High school. I grew up playing with my brothers in my grandfathers garden, raising cattle, and participating in any sport my small school could offer.

I eventually left that small town to pursue an advertising degree at Texas State University. After graduating at the age of 20 years old, I decided to dabble in Advertising for a few months. I knew it was not what I wanted to do, I wanted more fulfillment day in and day out, so I took a deep dive into what I loved doing. Among many things I love, I always had a passion for cooking, I loved feeding my family and college roommates and I enjoyed short the time I had spent as a cook in high school at a small farm to table in my hometown, so I did my research and I found a job!

I started at Barton Creek Country Club which was a great was to get a lot of experience through fine dining, catering and high volume. I enjoyed my time here as I spent a little under a year there. Shoutout to that team, you pushed me to be better and I will always miss impressing the members with my weekly dessert specials. I then went on to work for Odd Duck, a farm-to-table restaurant on south Lamar. The magic I've seen and have been lucky to be a part of in this space is truly something else. If you haven’t been into Odd Duck yet and you live in Austin, please check it out, you will not regret it. Order anything, you’ll love it, sit at the bar or the chefs counter, enjoy the show… That’s all I will say on that for now.

Now, after absorbing as much as possible from staging at restaurants around Texas and having the opportunity to work at some amazing local restaurants, I have decided to cater to Austin, Texas. I hope to bring your next vision to life with my dream of going above and beyond, blowing minds, and making a difference! Thanks for tuning in, it’s nice to meet ya!
